About Us

Caring, Listening, Satisfying…
Each one of us at the Baltic American Clinic is devoted to satisfying the needs and expectations of every patient by:
  • Deeply caring, understanding and meeting each patient's unique needs and expectations.
  • Responding to each patient with clear information, personal attention and respect.
  • Allowing patients to make their own decisions about their treatment and care.
  • Nurturing and enduring relationship with each patient and their family that begins prior to their hospital experience and continues after they return home.
  • Confidentiality
As we are not restricted by the constraints of the state sector, although all our doctors and staff are trained to an equivalent standard, we can practice with a degree of freedom from rigorous policies. However, discipline and meticulous procedures are central to excellence – safety and accuracy will always preclude mere speed and convenience.

Our unique spirit of dedication to patient satisfaction sets us apart. It is the promise on which our current patients rely, to which new patients are attracted and by which each one of us lives.
To satisfy the needs of the local population and the expatriate communities living in the Baltic region and Belarus the American and Lithuanian founders of the clinic set out to provide an island of U.S.-quality health care in 1994 in Vilnius, Lithuania. Since that time, the Clinic has been setting the pace and standards for the delivery of western style health care in Lithuania.

It is still the only Western-quality 24-hour medical and surgical facility in this region, located in a beautiful wooded place, Nemenčinės Road 54a. It is internationally recognized by most foreign insurance companies, acknowledged as one of the founders of modern health care by the Lithuanian government, and accepted as the health care provider for most foreign embassies and foreign companies in Lithuania.

From the moment you walk through the door at the Baltic American Clinic, you can feel the difference. It's found in the pleasantness of our decor and in the warmth of our staff. Nevertheless we perform all medical services as a hospital, our environment is quite different – it's like home.
Our doctors perform consultations, procedures and operations in a room or ward, decorated with alot of flowers and pictures. Through the window you can see beautiful pines. We believe that our untiring environment aids in speeding recovery. We also believe that by creating open, caring relationships with our patients, we contribute to their overall well-being.

Consultations are by appointment, except in acute emergencies. Most appointments are usually from a period of 20 minutes to 1 hour, except in certain circumstances where double appointment times are possible.
Emergency appointments are available each day, and can be booked the same day by ringing the clinic as early, as possible. It is not always possible to choose the doctor or time under these circumstances, but we would like to ensure You, that every possible effort is made to see patients at the time of their request.

Immunisations and foreign travel advice
A full immunisation service is available. Vaccines are always in stock although we would always advise you to give details of your trip on booking the appointment to allow adequate preparation. It is advisable to complete vaccination schedules well in advance of your departure time.

Home Visits
Requests for house calls should be made by ringing the clinic as early as possible, and being time consuming, are made at the discretion of the doctors to patients who are too ill to come to the clinic.

Complaints
Should a patient be unhappy about any of the services or care that we have provided, a complaints procedure has been set up to ensure that all grievances are dealt with rapidly and efficiently for the benefit of all parties concerned. Complains should be sent in writing to the Clinic director Inga Malinauskiene at the clinic address. After a thorough investigation, a meeting then probably be arranged where the matter can be discussed and resolved.
