COBLATION Plasma Technology .
A minimally invasive, low thermal technology for effective dissection and removal of tissue, COBLATION technology is ideal for such ENT procedures as tonsillectomy, adenoidectomy, reduction of hypertrophic nasal turbinates, laryngeal polypectomy and lesion debulking, soft pallet, snoring and sinus surgery. Coblation term means „controlled ablation“. It is a chemical process which is not affected by the heat. A key to sustaining a stable plasma layer is a patented saline delivery system. Plasma layer is only 100μm-200μm thick (human hair is approximately 100 μm) around the active electrode. COBLATION Plasma Technology creates a controlled, stable plasma field to precisely remove tissue at a low relative temperature, resulting in minimal thermal damage to surrounding soft tissues. Plasma formation and the electrode ‘s ability to properly coblate and coagulate tissue depends on a number of very important structure features. Modern endoscopes, microscopes, radiofrequency coblation equipment is used for disease diagnosis and treatment.
For nasal, nasopharyngeal, laryngeal examination flexible fiberscope is used. Audiometry and tympanometry is used for ear disease diagnosis.
Single coblation and coagulation electrode is used for each surgery.
